Dr. Justus Barasa Maende is an educationist with practical experience in Research, Publishing, Policy and Governance. He holds a PhD in Education Management and Policy Studies from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Maseno University and a Bachelor of Education (Science), First Class Honours from Maseno University. He also has certificates in Senior Management from the Kenya School of Government, Integrity Assurance Officers’ Training from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), Artificial Intelligence from KAEAM, Statistical Packages for Social Science (SPSS) from Maseno University, Proposal Writing and Resource Mobilization from Regional Partnership for Resources Development, among other short courses. He is a full member of the Kenya Association of Educational Administration and Management (KAEAM), an Affiliate of the Commonwealth Council of Educational Administration and Management (CCEAM). He previously worked with distinction as Senior Editor, Senior Research and Development Officer at JKF, and a teacher in various Secondary Schools, at the Lake Institute of Tropical Medicine and Bukura Agricultural College. With his intellectual depth, practical management capability and research outputs, Dr. Maende has published over 15 research articles in peer reviewed international journals. He is an Editorial Board member of the International Education Studies and Sustainability (IESS) Journal, Associate Member of the International Society of Development and Sustainability (ISDS) and a certified peer reviewer of the Journal of Education, Society and Behavioural Science.
