APPLICATION

Application for the scholarships is through the following platforms: the print, audio and digital media; sales executives during teacher forums; and the Ministry of Education network across the country.

Two (2) modes of application are available

Offline - Is actual filling of a JKF scholarship application form (HRA-FRM-029), obtainable from JKF offices, website, education offices and sales executives.

Online – Is done through an application portal by filling an online form.

SELECTION

The selection process is carried out in accordance with the JKF Scholarship policy and procedures.

Interviews are conducted countrywide by a panel consisting of JKF staff, JKF Alumni, partners and Ministry of Education

Interviews – Shortlisted applicants are interviewed by a panel comprising of County and/or Sub-county education officials, partners and select JKF staff (i.e. field and office staff).

Home visits – After the interviews, JKF staff visit the homes of successful applicants with a view to authenticating the gathered information. Care is taken to have staff visit regions other than their home areas for purposes of objectivity and impartiality.

COMMISSIONING

Selection complete, the JKF Board of Directors commissions and inducts the beneficiaries at a cheque presentation ceremony
