JKF was declared winner of the Champions of Governance (COG) Award in the Statutory Bodies category during the 8th edition of the event held on 30 November, 2017 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Nairobi.
The COG Awards, organised by the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (ICPSK), recognise institutions and individuals that exhibit the highest standards of good governance practice. Although it was a first time participant, JKF emerged on top of other statutory bodies after undergoing a rigorous process of assessment of its corporate governance practices. In announcing JKF's win, ICPSK pointed out some of the organisation's salient governance practices such as the inclusion of persons with disability and marginalised communities in the work place.
Clinching the award shows JKF's commitment to put in place corporate governance structures to propel the organisation to even greater heights in the provision of customer focused educational publications and scholarships.
